Learn about significant Black accomplishments from past to present. Students will be able to learn and identify some of the key players in history who continuously inspire and influence the Black experience in this country.

Overview:
Who are the Black athletes who paved the way for many of the greats we know today? While practicing addition strategies, students will learn about athletes who broke barriers and broke records in sports. The inspirational stories of athletes like Gabby Douglas, Althea Gibson, Fritz Pollard, and Jackie Robinson will make you want to flex your math muscles!
